Gettin' my Groove Back

I can't believe I haven't posted anything this year. I guess with the move and all I've just been so busy. I also can't believe I didn't knit anything on the 30+ hour ride here. I really didn't feel like it. I stared the blanket but felt like I needed to pay attention to much in order to do it well. My attention span seemed to be as short as the kids while we were in the car. Since I've settled in a bit I have finished a few things. I did a pretty scarf for Melissa in pink and brown. I just love that color combo. It' one of if not my favorite. I want to make Shy a blanket in those same colors. I used Paton's Nuance in cedar rose and a plain brown worsted weight yarn and knitted in a K2 P2 pattern. You can't see the ridges so I could have just did a simple stockinette stitch. Oh well we live and learn I guess.

This is it finished. I kind of want one for myself. I have enough left over to make a ear warmer though.

I also finished a scarf for Tamika in black and grey mohair. I wished to make it a bit longer but I ran out of yarn. I wasn't about to pay full price at Michael's for that same yarn I purchased at Wal-mart for like 3 dollars. She said it was fine at the length I showed her anyway. I used 2 skeins together in midnight mohair by Lionbrand for this one. I also have been working on some washcloths and dish cloths for the house. They don't look so hot but I will keep at it.
